| 見どころ | 【Pisirian PAW PAW DRUM】 Along the east coastline of Taiwan, an aboriginal tribe Pisirian of Amis has been facing a series of challenges for years such as lacking of employment opportunity, outflowing young population, and grand-parenting. With limited resources, the youths of village started making drums with buoy and flood wood they found from beach and decorate it with stylish tribal totem. They named the perform group “Paw-Paw Drum”, means buoy in mother language. It becomes very popular in Taiwan and inspires more and more youths from the tribe to participate. The average age of members is 16. They are students of elementary to senior high school. With the pride of Amis heritage, the youths are motivated to practice after school while the seniors take care of the younger ones. They are not only passing down the beautiful culture but also the love among each other. The tribal ballads sang by clean beautiful voice, along with invigorating drumming makes Pisirian Paw-Paw Drum performance a heavenly experience to see. With the touching story behind the group, it is a life changing performance to the residents of aboriginal tribe and all the tourists to come. |
